Wednesday Reading (last two weeks)
A couple of fics.
The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie: I really liked it. I’m pretty sure the twist ending is cheating by the Detective Club rules, but I think it worked in context, and it was so much better than the "evil secret society controlling everything" thing that she did completely unironically in a lot of her later novels. Actually the secret society in this one is almost meta. And the red herrings were great.
Now I want to read it all over again for clues, but it’s gone back to the library.
I suspect allergies are part of the reason for the lack of brain ability for the past few days. No idea to what, except that it was at least slightly less of a problem in Toronto.
