As for recs, if you haven't already met through one or another of the various Sherlock Holmes fandoms, I can happily recommend

PhoenixFalls, who self-describes as mixed race and has some amazing MCU fics, many of which feature either Tony/Rhodey (sometimes with Pepper too!) or f/f pairings.

Meanwhile, I love a good Natasha-centric story, so I'll have to check out

gsparkle's work!
