Hi! Thanks so much for writing for me, and congratulations on your evident good taste!

If you want to benignly internet-stalk me to get an idea of my interests, Tumblr and AO3 are probably a better idea than DW. However, my previous Yuletide-related posts are tagged here.

This year I requested Band Sinister by K. J. Charles, the Roaring Twenties Magic series by Allie Therin, and Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms by Mercedes Lackey. I am happy with any fic rating or length, and welcome treats.

A large and random list of things I like in general: worldbuilding, hurt/comfort, huddling for warmth, teamwork, competence, adventure, lesbians, ethical dilemmas, loyalty conflicts, people being clever, twisty plots, gender issues, sibling or sibling-like relationships, epistolary fic, backstory, pining, physical affection, queerness, philosophy, romance, UST, found families, mythological and literary allusions, polyamory, slash, het, femslash, passionate platonic friendships, hidden worlds, cities, banter, complicated plans, beautiful landscapes, angst, puns, magical realism, history, social class issues, older women with major roles, case fic, period accuracy, gen, smut, pwp, diversity of opinion, secret identities, fairy tales, specific sense of place... Feel free to use any of these, do not try to use all of them.

Dislikes: I do not want child- or pregnancy-focused fic, or high school AUs, or fic entirely centred around a wedding or wedding preparation. I'm not interested in incest or graphic depictions of rape or gore or torture.

Generally I am all for alternate universes, but in these fandoms the setting is a lot of the draw for me, so perhaps not wildly alternate ones.

Fandom specific thoughts and optional details:

Band Sinister by K. J. Charles
I requested any of Guy Frisby, Amanda Frisby, and Philip Rookwood, but do throw in anyone else you want.

I am really feeling canon divergence AUs for this, so here are some suggestions for those:
- What if the Murder had been in London during Amanda's disastrous Season, and they met the Frisbys then?
- What if Amanda had taken matters into her own hands near the end of the book and decided to become Philip's "mistress" to get both herself and Guy away from their aunt?
- What if Corvin had seduced Guy first, either during or before canon? When Philip falls in love with Guy in canon, how does that history affect Philip's relationships with both of them?
- What if Guy had had the chance to make more scholarly friends and met the Murder through one of the scientist members, either in London or some other time before canon?

Alternatively, I would absolutely love to see more of Amanda and Sheridan Street's friendship, either during or after canon. Or I would like to see some of the likely results of canon events: for example, Guy facing up to the fact that he can't always stop people from gossiping and sometimes that's okay. Early sexy experiments between Guy/Philip/John/Corvin (whether they end well or not). Guy and Amanda in the less-respectable parts of London society, both the parts they would enjoy, like literary circles, and the parts they probably wouldn't, like gambling dens.

Roaring Twenties Magic by Allie Therin
(Edited 11/7) It has very belatedly occurred to me that I could link my Yuletide promo post for this here.

I requested Jade Robbins and Jianwei Zhang. I have read everything set in this universe, so use as much of it as you want and toss in any other characters you like.

I love Jade and Zhang so much and I wish there was a whole series about them. Anything would make me happy; here are some suggestions.

- Their first meeting, ideally with one or both of them immediately deciding "Yes, this one."
- Zhang studying something that Jade is surprisingly able to help with.
- Jade solving a problem that someone in Zhang's family is having.
- Zhang, shortly after meeting Jade, solving a problem that one of her friends or family are having.
- Teamwork with magic and other skills to solve a mystery or perform an otherwise-impossible task.

Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms by Mercedes Lackey
The only tag is worldbuilding, which is what I'm here for; canon characters are welcome but not required.

I want to know more about stories and the Tradition and especially what Traditional paths exist for queer people and what happens to people who fall into/fight them. There are narrative roles and pathways for queer people, or at least heavily coded queer people, though a lot of them are tragic, and there are also stories of close friendship that are about half an inch away from being queer. What does that look like from the inside if you know about the Tradition? What does it look like if you don't? What does it look like to a Godmother on the outside?
